Neighborhood Clean Up
Would the Neighborhood like to plan a Neighborhood Clean Up for Next Year? We could call it the Southern Wayne Neighborhood Spring Clean. We would need to plan a day for the clean up, and get with the local city to supply us with trash dumpsites for it. This would involve the Lafayette Heights, Mars Hill, Maywood, Morris Park, Oak Park, and Woodland subdivisions. If we could get The Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to help sponsor us, we might be able to get additional help, for our Spring Clean.
Here is a start:
1. Ideas for a day to plan it. I am thinking a Saturday in April or May. Would also have to plan for an alternate day for rain, if it should rain on the day that we planned it.
2. Would also need volunteers to help out. (We do have some neighbor?’s that need extra help) The volunteers could go to those neighbors?’s can take those things to the dumpsites. They could also walks through their areas and pick up trash from the streets and sidewalks. The volunteers could be local Boy and Girl Scout troops that are looking for a community project. Maybe even a high school groups that are looking for a community project to get credit for.
3. Most important we need each other to help!
