Be part of this unique family-oriented program, which has been serving San Antonio for 30 years. Saturday Morning Discovery (SMD) is a FREE introductory art experience offered during the school year to kids ages 5?—16. Each session is one month long and runs from 9:30?—11:30 AM, at the Southwest School of Art & Craft (downtown, across from the Central Library). This program allows youth to work with professional artist-teachers in a number of different media including: ceramics, drawing, painting, stained glass, origami, pinhole photography, and printmaking. Parents and guardians are required to stay with the children and are encouraged to work alongside them. Advance registration is required.
