Crime Statistics, July 2003

The following information on crimes within SWCA boundaries, was taken from the SAPD website. SAPD recently increased the number of categories of crime on its website from 3 to 5. Where necessary, definitions follow category titles.
- Violent Crimes (VC) -Aggravated Assault?—?—Balboa Port, Big Creek, Crow Wing, Diamond Cove, Emerald Port (2), Falling Timber, Five Palms (2), Ghost Hawk (3), Glacier Bay, Gwenda Lea, Hidden Bow (2), Indian Pipe, Lazy Creek, Lighthouse, Little Creek, Loop 410 (3), Old Sky Harbor (4), Portside, Quiet Creek, Sachem (2), Sagamore, Seafarer, Snowfox, Sweet Maiden, &Wheelhouse. Another 35 VCs were committed in the SAPD service area just north of us.
- Thefts (T), when the victim(s) and the criminal(s) are there when the crime is taking place?—committed on Boston Harbor, Bowline, Ghost Hawk, Hawaiian Cove, Old Pearsall Rd (17), Portside, Reeds Cove (2), & Wheelhouse. Another 26 Ts in the service area just north of us.
- Vehicle Thefts (VT), when the entire vehicle is stolen - from Oceanside, Sail Loft, & Trading Post. Another 2 VTs in the service area just north of us.
- Burglaries (B), when the victim is not there when the crime is taking place - were committed on Bowline, Echo Port, Harbor View (2), Hayden, Mariner, Port Townsend, & Standing Rock. There were another 14 Bs in the service area just north of us.
- Vehicle Burglaries (VB), when items are taken from a vehicle, but the vehicle remains?—Boston Harbor (2), Kless, & Old Sky Harbor (3). Another 13 VBs were committed in the service area just north of us.
