When SWCA submitted our request to use the Sky Harbour Elem for our meetings during the school year, the school district told us we would have to pay $18/hour for custodian overtime. [One hour would consume the annual dues of 3.6 members.]
To add to the perspective, remember that our district spent $16,000 to send 11 people to a Board Convention last spring?—more than any other school district in our area (even the rich ones). And, a few months ago, our district agreed to give Toyota an $18,000,000 tax abatement.
