Through our property tax dollars, we support 7 different governmental entities; among them, the city of San Antonio and the Alamo Community College District (ACCD).
Do you think our city tax dollars should be used to pay for an ACCD project? That's what Dist 4 Councilman Perez has included in the upcoming bond package - a couple hundred thousand dollars for a soccer field at Palo Alto College. Is that fair? Do you think Palo Alto College will think twice about destroying the soccer field, if they decide in a few years that they need that land for a building? Do you think the average city citizen or groups will have use of the soccer field, or will it be only for use by Palo Alto College Soccer teams?
