Sheriff's Advisory Council

The purpose of the Sheriff’s Advisory Council (ShAdCo) is to forge a partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of each sector of Duval County. This strategic alliance will provide a structured opportunity for developing mutual understanding. It will encourage community participation into the development and effectiveness of Sheriff’s Office programs.

This partnership will practice and promote the vision of a safe, secure, involved community:

* By representing the people who live and work in their areas and articulating their crime and public safety concerns.
* By becoming knowledgeable about the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office policies, procedures and services.
* By making recommendations for solving problems that balance expectations with reality.
* By pareticipating in community solutions.
