Santa Parade

Posted in: Ridge - The Crest Neighbors of Spring Vistas
I would like to thank all the people involved in the santa parade. It was very nice and the kids had a lot of fun. It was also nice to see how some of our dues are spent. I hope that the board of directors that follow will keep the sled in good shape. It is easy to see that a lot of time and effort went into the making of this sled so hopefully it will be used for years to come.

No thanks

We don't appreciate it that someone came running up to my house that night and pounded the door loundly yelling about something. It startled us. My baby was sleeping. She started crying with all the noise. Someone in the parade was trying to get people out to the street to watch by running up to homes and banging on the doors. I don't appreciate that. If I had wanted to watch I would have been outside already. I don;'t care how nice it was. It was very insensitive that some stranger came banging on my door for something like an obnoxious soliciter. Thanks santa for waking up my baby, making her cry and keeping me up longer trying to soothe her back to sleep.

Not From the Parade!!

I am sorry you were startled and your baby was awakened by someone banging on your door.

One thing I can state with certainty - No one from the parade was banging on your door. We had lights, sirens, and horns. We used all of these extensively throughout the neighborhood to alert folks we were coming. It gave families time to get their children out to see Santa on his sleigh.

Please don't blame the parade participants for ruining your evening. It could have been a neighbor that thought you would like to see the parade.

We all had a wonderful time and approximately 150 to 175 children either rode with us and sang or were at the pool after the parade to have pictures made with Santa. Including the parents we had around 300 people show up during the night to participate in the various activities.

Hopefully next year your child will be old enough to enjoy seeing Santa and this year's bad experience will all be forgotten.

Thanks,

Jim Wright
Proud of your effort

I was proud of our neighborhood that night, as I am most nights. Someone always has to whine and tear down the efforts of others. Jim, it was nice and politcally correct of you to graciously coddle this cry baby. In the end, many were happy and those that were not, are probably never happy.
