NEW OFFICERS AND NEW MEMBERS INSTALLED

June 20th was a memorable night for the St. Matthews Lions Club.

A reception was held at the Mike Felty Stables in Simpsonville, which included a demonstration of Show Riding by Anna Chandler, daughter of our outgoing President, Mary Chandler.

After the reception the crowd of over 60 people proceeded to The Olde Stone Inn in Simpsonville for a superbe dinner followed by the installation ceremonies.

District Govenor, Lion Joe Westerfield then installed the following seven new members:

Arlene Bellman, Stacy Funk, Heather French Henry, Steve Henry, Kate Hensler, Libby Mills and Ginnie Wright.

Following the new member installation, Past District Govenor, Lion Marty Mills installed the club's new officers for the years 2006-2007.

These new officers are:

President - Jim Wright
Immed. Past Pres - Mary Chandler
Vice President - Evy McKemie
Secretary - Ginnie Wright
Treasurer - Tony Mills
Tail Twister - John Horton
Lion Tamer - Jim Sandidge
Membership Chair - John Horton
Meal Coordinator - Anne Mayhugh

The next regular business meeting falls on July 4th and has therefore been cancelled. Lion President Jim will begin his new term at our next social night which is scheduled for July 18th.
