What a treasure we have in our very own neighborhood! Not only is it going to help tremendously with the economic and aesthetic revitalization of the Central Plaza area, but from the perspective of us Kenwoodians who actually live in the area, this is a major, MONDO, GARGANTUAN quality of life thaaaang/booster! I am speaking, of course, about the brand, spankin' new Y!!!!!!!!

I JUST JOINED! THE THING IS AMAZING! THE SWIMMING POOL AND JACUZZI ALONE ARE WORTH THE MEMBERSHIP PRICE! If you have kids, there is childcare provided. There is a gorgeous rock-climbing wall. There is a fitness center. There are all sorts of programs from yoga, which I love and currently drive all the way to Azalea to partake of but now it is included in my Y membership a few blocks from home (!), to something called ''pilates'' which is all the rage.

Folks, if you haven't checked out this gem right in our own 'hood (well, okay, just a HAIR outside of our own 'hood), then you don't know what you are missing! Support the economy of the area and the revitalization of Central Plaza by joining the Y, and what you will really be doing is giving yourself a great gift. IT ROCKS!
