There is a plant sale at 2301 3rd Ave south during the weekdays They seem to have many burnt plants from places like Home Depot that have been tossed out Prices are very cheap and I saw some nice orchids there with no damage at all. You will need to look, but its worth the time if you are interested in plants and you want to save some money.
