This evening we held the kick-off planning committee meeting for the third annual NSNA Candlelight Holiday Tour of Homes. Approximately 1000 people attended each of the two previous tours, which featured homes with a variety of architectural styles from Craftman Bungalows, to Victorian, to Colonial, to Mediterranean Revival-- all decked out in holiday finery. Neighbors walked the streets chatting and marveling at our beautiful neighborhood. Profits generated from the tours are added to the NSNA treasury to provide matching funds for city grants or to fund projects to improve the North Shore neighborhood, and 10% is donated to a charity. Mark your calendars for Dec. 17, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Join in the fun!! We are in need of volunteers to join subcommittees--the Home Selection Subc., the Brochure Subc., the House Captains Subc., the Tickets Subc., the PR/Marketing Subc. E-mail me or call me at 550-8748 and tell me your interests, and I'll link you to a subcommittee. Is there an artist out there in the neighborhood who would like to consider sketching the selected homes for use in the brochure or a graphic artist who would like to assist with the brochure? A big thank you to those who have volunteered so far--Deborah Mitrovka, who is chairing Marketing and PR; Wendy Wesley, who has home selection leads and will contribute to writing home descriptions; Stephanie Edwards, who will help recruit House Captains and help make homeowners comfortable with the preparation and tour; and others who have volunteered but were unable to attend this evening. Suzie honey,

Who does your nails? They are too cute for words. I have Ming Tuo at the mall do mine, but the smell in there - I stagger out like a sailor on leave - and let me tell you, old Stella's had a few of those also. But, Suzie darling, old Stella's not back just to get some dress up tips from her fav Cosmo girl, not that she couldn't use a few - Stella has a HOT, HOT parade of home idea for you, you sweetie-pie. So. Listen up and you'll be the red-hot-mama of NSNA. Here it is, I'll whisper it:

What we do is tie the ''save the historic homes'' with the candle light tour. We can show off a few of those precious little bungalows behind Watson's, and why not open up the Arlington Hotel, too. I think they've always had a B&B on the tour, so why not the Arlington? And maybe we could get the hunk of a Woodly to open up his historic home on 8th Ave.

Tell you what Suzie, once you get things rolling on this, you can just tell everyone it was your idea, old Stella don't need no credit. Just girl-to-girl sharing, and old Stella has shared a few things other than ideas with her girlfriends if you catch my drift.

Ta ta for now,
Stella

Get lost, Stella

Stella,
We thought we were rid of the likes of you. And all was going fine. All you and Frankly have ever done is to make fun of the hard work people do in the NSNA. I heard what you have been saying about people on the board and NOT ONE WORD OF IT IS TRUE!!! I will not dignify your slanderous, jealous remarks by repeating them here, but one more time you open your mouth when you've had too much to drink at Harvey's and you'll be one sorry slut. Trailer trash like you should find someplace else to live. North Shore and the people who live here are too good for you!!!
