At the Oct 21 meeting, a representative from a local company, CityNetONE, described their proposed pilot program. The program will provide telephone, cable Internet connectivity, and cable television services all in one package.
Several St. Petersburg neighborhoods (including ours) are eligible to participate in the program. Participants in the pilot will receive the services free of charge in exchange for their participation and feedback. The pilot is expected to commence in early 2003 and take six months.
The program will be limited to 50 participants per neighborhood. Several signed up after the meeting.
