Here's reality:

8 of the current board members were ELECTED at the January membership election meeting
(there are 11 on the board)

3 resigned. 1 because time did not permit attendance at meetings & that person was doing other volunteer work in the community. 1 to protest
the blocking of membership input &
the unapproved appearance of another board member at city meetings. 1 whose letter of resignation was not read into the record.

3 have joined the board as replacements. 2 are long term members. 1 of those 2 has been a very active member for years. 1 is relatively new to the neighborhood & has renovated a home.

So, we have a super majority + of the current board who were elected.

The new president did state that he did not want the job. But he did not state that he would not perform the duties of the job until the next election.

Lange Already President Elect

I posted this on another subject. For those of you that want Lange so badly, he is already the President Elect.

He will be back as President next January. He does not need to be elected to this position. He is the President elect.

Now that i have reminded you all of this fact, could we please move on to any other subject.

Lange assumed the position of president when the elected president resigned. At that point he gave up the position of president- elect.

When Lange was removed by the board after the membership vote he just became another board member.

At that time Burton, president elect, assumed the office of president and also gave up the position of president -elect. His term of office is only until the elections.

So, Lange and Burton will both have to run for office again if they choose to hold positions. The same is true for the rest of the board.

what convoluted reasoning brought you to this conclusion? Lange is lucky to still be a member of the association because if you remember the original motion was to remove him entirely. only Jim Martin saved him from that.
