Last evening, members expressed concern about the fact that the front proch had been torn off this structure and that incompatible door and windows had been installed. This structure is in our Neighborhood Design Review area. I spoke to Jim Goldwin, who is currently handling NDR for the City (893-4120), who is researching the project for us. He stated that the first permt was obtained in June 1999 for ''building alteration'' and one in 2000 for the same. He will research the file and call me tomorrow with more information, and I will pass that information on. By the end of this week, I hope to appoint Co-Chairs of our Neighborhood Design Review Committee and schedule a meeting with City staff to get our NDR process back on-track. Thanks to those who signed on last evening to work on this committee.

More to Come...

Jim Golden, City NDR, says that the permit was for repairs to the porch, not demolition, so the architect and owner must submit a plan to rebuild the porch and are meeting Sat. to come up with a plan. The porch reportedly was too decayed to repair.
