Tonight I feel in the mood to write. Not even re-runs of Mash can keep me from my appointed rounds.
So let's get cracking.
''Will served for the last seven years at an Episcopal church in Atlanta. Will is enjoying fixing up his Old Northeast home, and is very interested in becoming involved with the neighbors, and wants to work with the association to make North Shore a very special neighborhood.''
You guessed it, that was an excerpt from the Bio of Doctor William Geotz. The last two sentences to be exact. Only the last sentence has anything what so ever to do with North Shore.
Now before anyone starts thinking well here goes Steve. He's going to blast poor old Will because his bio does'nt list any previous accomplishments. Well you would be wrong to think that. Even I know that everyone has to start from scratch at some point in time, even Dr. Will.
What I want to focus on is this.
When the good Doctor Will ran for the board I thought he looked harmless enough and I voted for him. I had never met him before the election and until July 3rd (the expulsion board meeting for me) had never had more than a few words to say to Will nor he to me. It was'nt that we did'nt like one another it was just that we had never worked together on anything, and therefore, did not have anything in common.
And that's what makes all of this so damn quirky.
People hating you right to your face and you don't know a thing about it. I must be one naive guy. Prior to the June Board meeting I had no idea that these STOP CVS folks had these evil thoughts towards me. And it never dawned on me that Dr. Will who I had never done a thing to, nor he to me, would be so mean spirited as to stand up at the Specially called board meeting and make that pathetic motion. Mind you, his face was about two feet from mine. I was able to get a good look at the facial going-ons, if you catch my drift. Eyes bulging, dry mouth, nervous, intense and un-stoppable.
Will, you have so much hate in you it is scary. I saw it oozing out of every pore in your face as you clawed your way through your motion, trying to remember all of the correct words you had obviously tried to memorize. Your job that night was to MAKE THE MOTION. Just as Carl Luvgren's was to second it. In this way the responsiblity gets spread around the Stop CVS board members nice and even, especially since you two were kind of new to the board. It was kind of a ploy to legitimize the appearance of the motion making and the vote. In this way good boy Greg Burton was kept out of the limelight as long as possible. Everyone had their assignment. Quite polished.
But Will, besides just reporting what your role was that evening, my entry tonight is for this reason.
You come to North Shore, get led by the nose by stronger wills than yours (pun intended) and your first, let me repeat, your very first North Shore deed is to make a motion to remove the President of the Association. Now that is something you can put into your bio for next years election. That should help you get tons of votes. Don't you think?
Now, everyone go back up to Dr. Will's bio and re-read his last sentence again. -------------I'll wait here while you do it.--------------Kind of makes you want to laugh or puke or both does'nt it. Pathetic.
Dr. Will you now have my undivided attention! Sooooo, I'll see you soon in those cigar filled back board rooms and dark halls of the North Shore inter-sanctums where all of those Stop CVS deals have been so recently cut. Am looking forward to it.
