Mr. Editor, you have now printed and distributed two newsletters since you took over the reins of publishing power. What have you done with the responsibility that is the legacy of North Shore.
Your first newsletter was over two weeks late, had no news and was simply a compilation of advertizements. It failed to report any of the relevant news in regard to the takeover of the board, Stop CVS actions, etc.
Your second newsletter, while on time, still had no information whats so ever in regard to what had happened to the elected President (Joyce Frey) or to her replacement, the
vice-president elect (me), or to the past editor (JOhn Mitrovka) or to the public hearing votes on the Stop CVS issue, etc. etc.
You simply must agree. You are no editor. Now, before you go getting all misty eyed Carl listen to me. You have the right to pick up a pen and write the articles yourself if no one else is giving them to you. You can fill in the blanks of information all by yourself. That is what the last three editors have done. Oh, the last three editors would have loved for someone else to write the articles. I don't blame them for that. They are after all editors. Not writers in the true sense of being an editor. But when the chips are down, and no articles on important North Shore news are provided to the editor, then the editor steps up to the plate and writes them. He has to. If he does not do it, then it won't get done. And that is what has happened with you. You did nothing.
Let me repeat. None of the last three editors who preceeded you let any important news go unreported. They told the news, good or bad. They did the job. You did not.
That is why I believe that unless we have a person who is willing to take on the responsibility of writing an accurate newsletter, one that the good people of North Shore will want to pick up and read and rely on, we should'nt print and distribute anything. All we are doing is wasting our North Shore funds and wasting all of our time.
What you sent out Carl were two rags. Not even worth wrapping fish in. Please, if you are not willing or capable of doing better, don't do anything at all.
