I received a telephone call yesterday from Mr. Bob Jeffrys of the St. Pete Planning Dept. in regard to the recently submitted Historic District application. I delivered it to the city on Monday, August 14th.
He informed me that he thought the application looked great. He wanted to thank all of North Shore and most specifically those who did the work.
He said that he had spoken with the state and that he and they had a few additional items that they wanted us to correct or put into the application.
Four of the items are pretty easy. They basically consist of adding more text to our historical relevance statement in four different categories. Bob said he could supply some of the information and that we could get the rest from the HPA survey which was conducted for our neighborhood in 1993. Kate Hoffman and Linda Beaman will probably work on these items together.
The last item requires us to place property lines generally where they exist between the buildings we show on our maps. This will fall into the lap of Rob Wertz. Bob Jeffreys estimates about twenty hours of drafting to make these additional corrections.
I asked Bob J. if he would put all of this in writing with the appropriate backup and he said he would. Once I receive this letter I will make copies and deliver them to Linda Beaman, Kate Hoffman, Rob Wertz and I will save a copy for the board.
As soon as this last work is completed we will make the necessary multiple copies and deliver them back to Bob J. and he will then transmit the application booklets and maps to the state for their review.
NSNA is making good progress here. I will keep you posted.
