Prior to the June Board of Directors meeting, I was given copies of certain documents from the public record. These documents were found in the Watson?’s/CVS file at the city. They raised the possibility of a conflict of interest on the part of Mr. Lange. I personally went to the city to verify
the authenticity of these documents. While there, I spoke with the city official whose handwritten notes are part of the documents. He explained his notes to me. I subsequently prepared a letter to Mr. Lange advising him that he would be asked questions regarding these documents at the meeting the next day. I then drove to his house to hand deliver the letter. No one answered the bell, so I left the envelope on his door. Copies were given to all board
members, some of whom had also signed the letter.
The next evening at the board meeting Mr. Lange was prepared to answer all questions regarding these documents. He has his attorney, Ms. Donna Fudge, speak on his behalf. He also had a
former client, Ms. Nadine Smith, present. Mr. Lange answered all questions to the satisfaction of
the board. I considered the matter closed. Mr. Lange apparently still does not. My procurement of the public documents and resulting actions are repeatedly referred to in his postings.
And then there is the matter of the tape. Ms. Bartley has taped the board meetings since she volunteered to be Secretary. At the June General Membership meeting, her taping of the board meeting was the source of a great deal of concern on the part of Mr. Lange. He claimed it had been done surreptitiously, a claim which Tom Hennessey refuted. Furthermore, prior to the Special Meeting at which Mr. Lange was removed from office, Ms. Fudge sent a written demand letter to Jim O?’Donnell, in her capacity as Mr. Lange?’s attorney, demanding a copy of any written notice given to board members that the meeting would be taped and a copy of the tape itself. Why she went to the Treasurer instead of the Secretary remains a mystery, as does Mr.
Lange?’s continuing concern about the discovery of these documents and the taping of the meeting during which they were discussed.
I believe my actions to have been in the best interest of this Association. Given the innuendo on this website, I feel compelled to release theses documents, which are public record, to any member who desires a set so such individual may make an independent evaluation of my actions. I am meeting with my attorney next week on another matter, at that time I shall have
him review a cover letter I have prepared for the documents. After that, they will be available for distribution.
