The bylaws were completely revised by a qualified senior paralegal for a FORTUNE 500 company who specializes in corporations, etc. This was back in 1997. The leadership at that time chose to ignore the revisions and stack the deck for their own agendas.
There are many bright people in our neighborhood. Utilize these unique skills. GOOD DAY!
Skills needed

There certainly are many bright and highly skilled people in the neighborhood and it would be nice if they would step forward and offer their expertise. Just in the last month or so this has happened in several areas and the help these people are offering is wonderful. But it is such a large area that people need to speak up and let others know their interests and skills. And, with the change in the make-up of the Association membership (and the neighborhood turnover) in the last two to three years, I would hope that those who have been discouraged in the past would try again. Success depends on new ideas and new directions and openness and a willingness to change with the times.

Amen B Fry

Being one of the forgotten masses I say amen, this neighborhood will continue long after the likes of the old regime has gone. Look around you it is already happening.

More info., please

Barry, I'd like to know more about this. Was there a committee? Is there a record of meetings and proposed amendments to the bylaws? The bylaws were written as they generally are at the inception of organizations, as general guidelines without anticipating issues that can arise as an organization develops. There is a need for revision, and I'd like to see the revisions suggested in 1997. Thanks.
