I thought the board was responsible for maintaining the lights on the monuments. Last time I looked five lights were out. About the time this board figures out how to run an association several car accidents will have occurred and this association will be embroiled in one lawsuit after another not to mention the recoil from the stigma of dealing with the property damage and possible personal injuries. When will they ever learn?

I have a solution. Since the monuments are always such a headache- landscaping, painting, light bulbs, etc., why don't we just rip them out ! They are too grandious anyway. And, ''Johnson'', since all the board members are volunteers but you noticed the burned out bulbs, why don't you offer to volunteer to replace them ? unless you agree that they just ought to be done away with anyway.

I fully expected someone on the board to write in and say, O. K. you're right. Don't like the way you said it but you're right the light bulbs should be changed right away. But no, we have to get some idiot named Smith to right in and say absolutely nothing. I bet you have never done anything on the monuments, let alone change even one light bulb. You probably live in California or worse yet Tampa. Go away.
