Neighborhood representation

Posted in: Historic Old Northeast
Understand Jim Martin is representing my neighborhood and I to our state visitors in May, 2002.

How are these decisions made? Is Mr. Martin a board member? Will the CVS debacle be a focus of discussions?

Was this opportunity opened up to all members?

Florida Trust

Jim Martin was asked to be a Co-Chair of the Annual Statewide Preservation Conference by the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation (the state-level sponsoring entity). I believe that Jim was asked to volunteer for this role due to his proactive work on historic preservation in our community, such as the historic preservation workshops that he assisted in organizing and his efforts related to his website, historicstpete.com. This volunteer position is unrelated to the North Shore Neighborhood Association. Jim is not a board member. I am not sure if CVS will be discussed at the conference, but I am certain that the Florida Trust has many opportunities for interested Florida residents to participate in this and future conferences.
