The Board approved a major reorganization of HONNA Bylaws on December 8, 2003.

The Bylaws were completely reorganized to accomplish the following goals:

1. Changed the President-Elect role to Vice-President and made both President and Vice-President subject to annual election.

2. Changed fiscal year-end and annual elections from December 31 and January, respectively, to May 31 and June. The purpose of these shifts was to avoid holiday distraction from Board nominations and to provide a fiscal year that would better encompass all significant HONNA fund-raising events.

3. Allowed proxy voting under specific conditions and circumstances.

4. Made general alignments of the Bylaws with relevant HONNA Articles of Incorporation and Florida Statutes.

5. Added articles to describe Conflicts of Interest and Indemnification.

6. Clarified various provisions such as th definition of the factors which comprise a Member.

The reorganization of the Bylaws increased the size of the document to thirteen pages including a Table of Contents. Unfortunately, this web set is incapable of storing such a document. If anyone would like a copy sent via email (pdf format), please send an email request to bylaws@honna.org.
