Define "enforce".  What would you do?  This is a tough situation. Homeowners trying to collect dues from the rest of the homeowners....to keep our neighborhood nice and safe.  Please try and come up with some ideas to bring to the table.  Let's put our heads together and think, "outside of the box", to get things rollin'.

Again, thank you so much for a positive note!  We received 4 payments at the meeting---and that was for 2011 and invoices have not even been sent out yet.  They just wanted to get the ball rolling!  Also, when I picked-up the mail last week, we received some payments from the invoices that were sent out to those people who are in arrears.

I don't know what you can do to "enforce", this late in the game, apparantly, nothing. But, also don't know how Assoc. can exspect the ones who have paid last 9 yrs. to continue paying, when we see nothing being done about non payers. Also, ive never understood where the $$$$ enforces "saftey" &"niceness" ? I live next door to a trashy enviroment, and "crime" siturations. And as I stated, weve paid our dues ever since moving here. And when the entrances "are"mowed, you still have a couple homes close to it that over shadows the "niceness" with trashy yards, etc. Ive said before, economy improves, we're out of here. Don't mean to be nasty, but it has become a neighborhood of majority not caring about the looks or "niceness" of property. sorry.

I guess I try and look at it like "welfare" or "unemployment".  Many of those folks can work, they just choose to feed off of those that do.  If you have ANY ideas please post them.  I will  continue to pay my dues only because the entrances and detention area have been well maintained over the years.  Also, over the years, we've applied "liens" to homeowners that did not pay.  That process is very expensive and time consuming (remember the time comes from simple homeowners like yourself).  We did re coupe some monies from the liens, but not sure we broke even.  Please try and stay positive with an open mind....together, we should be able to come up with some way to collect more dues.  Thanks for being a part of this discussion.
