Is there anyone out there who would be willing to take on the positions of President, Vice pesident, treasurer?
To keep the community looking good which improves the value of your home, the greatest investment you probably make, requires the board banging heads with residents who continually violate the covenants, whether it be grass cutting, parking on lawns, garbage cans in their driveways, etc requiring us to send letters which equates to wasted postage. Yes believe it or not there are about 10 households, the same time after time that try to test us (the board) Think about it, 57 homes, 10 malcontents. When was the last time you received a violation letter?
100% Dues have been collected for 2008, except for one lien. Grass is cut & paid for on a regular basis. Utilities are paid immediately. Insurance as directed by NC stae law is paid. Taxes, state & federal have been filed.
Now our latest crisis, A homeowner has demanded to examine the HOA financial records which under the by-laws, article X, he is entitled to do so. He has been informed that a date & time to examine the books will be provided to him.
Personally I find this insulting. After he examines our records, I should....what was it in the old days, foils or pistols?
I'm tired of being the bad guy, the one you bitch about.
We put in time effort, blood & tears running this boad and see no thanks, support.
If you have the time, inclination, don't care what your neighbors say call me as the board is about to jump ship which leaves the question, who will lead us onward & upwards?
