Stone Mountain

Last Friday I placed my trashcan on the sidewalk in preparation for trash pick up. On Saturday (early)evening when I arrived from visiting family, I realized someone took it upon themselves to drop their bag of dog excrement into my trashcan and then place the lid on my trashcan. Naturally, it was a very warm weekend and the smell from the excrement was repulsive. My concern is that my transhcan in my driveway was: 1)on private property as it was no longer on the sidewalk and 2)the bagged excrement needed to be dropped off in the owner's trashcan and not conveniently placed in the neighbor's trashcan. On one other occasion, I actually found a bag of dog excrement near my front porch that appeared to be inadvertantly thrown so that the owner would not have to carry it themselves. I simply wanted to bring this to the attention of those who have experienced the same as well as to the people who are engaging in this lack of consideration. I, like most neighbors, appreciate pet owners who pick up after their pets. In the future, please be considerate of those whose property you infringe upon for your convenience. I have a small child in my home who enjoys playing outside in our yard and I would hate to have to clean up someone else's mess. I had to leave my trashcan outside my garage for the smell when normally I leave it inside. Inconvenience is never convenient for anyone. Your consideration will be appreciated.
