Stone Mountain

Solution Needed for Pool ID

Posted in: Stone Mountain
Dear Residents:
I overheard a discussion at the pool last summer that greatly disturbed me. A woman who lives in the Arrowhead subdivision said that she and her friends swim in our pool all of the time. She was telling party guests (non SM residents) just how easy it is to get into our pool and swim for free. She just writes her friend's name and address (a SM Resident) instead of her own. She thought that this was really great and that ''after all its not like we don't already pay Stone Oak Association dues already. Every one in Stone Oak Should be able to swim here anyway because we pay Stone Oak POA dues''
Told the woman and her friends that they are NOT supposed to swim here, and that they do NOT pay Stone Mountain dues in addition to SOPOA dues. I told her that Our pool is very expensive and I do not appreciate Arrowhead (Or the summit) getting the benefit of a community pool without paying. I feel this is a problem we need to address and would like to discuss it with anyone who will listen. The pool is not too crowded, but we must keep the pool to ourselves so that our property values will remain good. What's the resale motivation if ANYONE can get in and swim?
Please reply.

Unauthorized Use of SMOA Pool

The writer points out the problem with having an open pool with many unauthorized individuals utilizing it at our expense. A few thoughts suggestions on this subject:
Cypher Locks - Many pools use them.
Issuing IDs and have Lifeguards check them.
Charge for using the pool, all residents and guests, reduce the dues for homeowners' not using the pool.
