Winter in Fox Den

Posted in: Fox Den - Blowing Rock
Fox Den Property owners have seen to it that winter in Fox Den is not the problem that many communities face. Through the efforts of the owners and their association they have people in place ready to remove snow on the main roads when necessary. The roads are of a solid base, and with the light topping of rock and gravel it makes traversing the area a breeze.

A word of caution to everyone however, winter in the mountains can be very harsh, with bitter cold, snow, ice, and high wind. Temperatures can change quickly and so can the weather. Be prepared when visiting or living in the mountains. Make sure you are familiar with the weather updates, and have the proper clothing and equipment for your stay.

Winter travelers by motor vehicle should know the capabilities of what they are driving and be prepared for ice and snow on the highways along with the secondary roads. Snow tires, chains, and 4 wheel drive are highly recommended in the mountain winter weather.

Umm... What does this have to do with Woodside Falls residents?
Sorry for the previous post.  This board is not set up right and I saw it on a totally unrelated thread.
