Stonecreek Neighborhood of The Year!!
Stonecreek Homeowner?’s Association, Gilbert, AZ 85234 Monthly Newsletter December 2003

DIRECTOR?’S CORNER
Happy Holidays. It is that time of year when we begin to get our homes ready for the holidays. The Board of Directors would like to remind all homeowners that any uncontained trash that you would like the Town of Gilbert to pick up may be placed on the curb beginning with the third Monday of the Month. (Sunday before is OK.) Please place your trash so that it does not block the sidewalk or the street.

A reminder of Stonecreek?’s CC&R's will be mailed to any homeowner who places uncontained trash before the appropriate date. Any time within the next 12 month?’s that this violation should exist on that same property,
a $25.00 to $50.00 fine will be assessed without prior notice.

Placement of uncontained trash in view of the street, neighboring property and / or common area is very unsightly, so it should not be put on the curb before the appropriate date. You may find the date that uncontained trash will be picked up in the newsletter?’s Calendar or call the Town of Gilbert at 480-503-6400.

We recently accepted bids from Play Ground Equipment companies. We would like to thank Tina Sadler and the rest of the Playground Committee for their hard work and diligence in securing bids for the equipment. There will be more information in future newsletters about the type of equipment placed at the playground.

Finally, if you get a chance, take a walk or drive around Stonecreek HOA during this holiday season. Many residents "go all out" with holiday light displays. It is fun to see the imagination and spirit that many residents have during the holidays.
We wish a safe and happy holiday to the Stonecreek HOA residents.

CONTRACTS AWARDED
The Board has approved the installation of new playground equipment. The Board hopes to have the new equipment installed by the end of December.

TRASH:
WHEN? WHERE?
A Review:
The Town of Gilbert has collection programs for different kinds of trash. Residents may also use the Salt River Land Fill if their needs are not met. Some of these programs include:

Bulk trash and green waste are picked up sometime during our scheduled week, which always begins with the third Monday of the month. The trash must be at the curb by 6 a.m. on the Monday of our scheduled pickup (Nov. 17-21, Dec. 15-19, etc.) It may be placed at the curb on Sunday. It will be picked up sometime between Monday and Saturday. The beginning of the pick up week is normally in the newsletter - but is always the 3rd full week of the month - count Mondays.

Bulk items are man-made materials that are bulky or cumbersome such as furniture, water heaters, microwave ovens, TVs, dishwashers, or other household items which cannot be placed in the black container.

Recyclables (Blue bin) are collected on Thursdays while Trash (Black bin) is collected on Mondays. Trash should be bagged and the lid to the bin should be shut at all times. The bins must be at the curb by 6am. The bins must be removed within 24 hours and stored at least 10 feet back from the front of your house.

NOTE: This schedule is not affected by holidays. (Yup, your blue bin will be picked up on Thanksgiving day.) Call 480-503-6460 for further information.

Ammunition & Explosives may be disposed of with the gilbert police department. 480-503-6612.

The Town also offers new residents a one time service for move-in waste, such as boxes and packing paper. To schedule this pick-up, call
(480) 503-6437.

All trash must be at your curb so that it is obvious that it is to be picked up by the Town?’s Sanitation section, but you may not block the sidewalk or street.

The empty trash bins should be removed from the curb by 7 am.

Keep your neighbors happy and let your trash be seen only during these times. The bins must be closed at all times.

Call the Salt River Land Fill at
480-941-3427 if you want to use their services.

REMINDERS
The CC&R?’s require ACC approval before starting projects that will change the appearance of your home or yard. You can get ACC forms from Borg Property Services.
SELLING YOUR HOME?
Please help yourself by telling your title company that a sale is pending and that they must notify Borg Property Services of the pending sale. Borg Property Services has seven (7) days to inspect your house before the sale can be completed. (House bill 1199) If the inspection must be done in less than seven (7) days because Borg Property Services was not notified, then we will charge the homeowner an extra fee. Title companies have been known to ask for a rush inspection because they did not notify Borg Property Services, and the homeowner is the one charged the extra fee.

DONATE YOUR USED BICYCLES FOR CHRISTMAS
Now is the time to think about people less fortunate than ourselves. Here is a way that you can get rid of used bikes, make a donation, and save yourself the time and trouble of disposing of them all at the same time.

Call Tony Bernot at 480-892-7505 if you have any bicycles that you want to get rid of. They do not have to be in working order. Tony will come to your house, pick them up free of charge and give you a Gilbert Community Action Program (CAP) receipt that you can use as a tax deduction. Tony restores the bikes and gives them to CAP to give to needy children at Christmas time. Stonecreek has donated many bicycles over the last years. Let?’s keep the tradition up. Call Tony, make his day and make a needy child happier this Christmas.
