STONECREEK NEWS
A MONTHLY NEIGHBORHOOD NEWSLETTER OCTOBER 1999
_________________________________________________________
DIRECTOR'S CORNER:

TRAFFIC ON JUNIPER
The Board of Directors wrote a letter to the Town of Gilbert formally requesting that a three-way stop sign be installed at the intersection of juniper and Stonecreek. Gary Thomas has not made a decision on what should be done at the intersection.

NEW POOL/ TENNIS COURT KEYS
The plan to rekey the two tennis court and the three pool keys is still on for October 15, 1999. Remember that only
homeowners who are current with the Association (dues, fines etc. ) will be issued new keys. The procedure that
we will follow is found later in this newsletter.

HOA WEB PAGE
As reported last month, the URL is: WWW.NEIGHBORHOODLINK.COM/STONECREEK (all lowercase letters.). We are unable to put the Fine Schedule on the Web page at this time. The ACC committee has finished their revisions to the ACC form and we are now working on getting the new form on the Web page. (See related ACC form information in the ACC Committee report.)

WINTER RYE GRASS
Last year we did not plant winter rye grass. This winter we will go back to the way we used to plant the winter rye
grass and will overseed approximately half of the common ground.

OBVIOUS VIOLATIONS - IGNORED OR ?
Many time, there are obvious violations which appear not being taken care of. This is disturbing to many of us. If
you see a violation and wonder if it is being ignored or being taken care of, please call Borg Property Services and
they will tell you the status of the violation. If it is a new violation, then they will follow up on it. Many times, the homeowner is being issued violations/fines and the homeowner prefers to ignore the violations/fines; in which case they pay for that privilege in fine money.

ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE ACTIVITY (ACC) REPORT
The new ACC form can now be sent to you via E-mail. Continue to request the form as in the past and if you request that it be E-mailed to you, it will be.

Remember to call George, Frank, or Borg Property Services on all ACC issues.

The committee processed the following requests:
RECEIVED: - 3
APPROVED: - 4
DENIED: - 0
PENDING - 3

Please remember: Your CC&R's require that you have ACC approval before starting any projects that will change the
appearance of your home or yard. You can get ACC forms by calling:

(1) Frank at 926-4412 (Stonecreek Resident),
(2) George at 926-3619 (Stonecreek Resident) or
(3) Borg Property Services at 456-6927

Any questions regarding ACC issues should be directed to Frank, George or Borg Property Services. You can review
the approved paint and/or trim colors by calling Frank at 480-926-4412 (Stonecreek Resident). You can also join the
committee by calling Sharon Howes. Please respect Sharon, Frank and George as fellow homeowners and contact
them only between the hours of 10am-8pm, Monday-Friday. Leave a message if you get their answering machine.

VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE REPORT
Remember to call Sharon Howes if you want information on a committee or want to join a committee (480-497-8124).
Sharon will then handle the communications between the Board of Directors, the homeowners and Borg Property
Services.

WORK RECENTLY DONE TO THE COMMON AREAS:
We have postponed the Hydro-seeding until next spring. This is because it is getting close to winter rye over seeding and we want to give the new Hydro-seed the proper time to germinate.

CONTRACTS AWARDED
Top Notch Pest Control has been awarded a contract to perform pest control for the common areas and the drain pipes. ($95/month.)

UPCOMING CONTRACTS
Plant Winter Rye Grass in the high profile areas.

VANDALISM
Last month all of the vandalism was at the pool. $138.00 was spent to replace the fire extinguisher and glass, as well as new chains and padlocks for the 3 pool gates.

CRIME REPORT
This is a reminder that the Board of Directors has obtained two reports from the Town of Gilbert Police Department.
One report is of crimes reported in Stonecreek and the other is a report of crimes reported in Freestone Park. Each report covers 8/1/98-8/1/99. A copy of either (or both) of these reports may be obtained by calling Borg Property Services. Since the reports
are quite long, there will be a $5.00 charge per report to cover printing and postage.

BLOOD MARROW DONATION
If you should want to obtain information about donating your blood marrow, the number to call is 675-5493. This is the number of the United Blood Center (UBS).

GET INVOLVED:
It's getting to be PAINT PARTY Time again. The Board of Directors would like to have another paint party,
tentatively scheduled for November 13, 1999. If you are interested in helping the HOA paint a section of block wall,
contact the Volunteer Committee for information. All supplies, food and pop were supplied by the HOA.

Although the Board of Directors has several areas in mind to paint, the final decision will be depend upon the
volunteers who show up for the party.

The Board of Directors would like to have a logo and would like to make it from the water feature. If there is a
photographer who would like to help design and take the picture, they should contact Borg Property Services.

We also need help on the ACC committee. Like the Landscape committee, they generally meet once a month to act
upon the ACC requests submitted.

You may contact the new Volunteer Committee for further information on a committee or for joining a committee.

NOTE: This issue has been broken into two parts to make it easier for the homeowners to retrieve it. (Two smaller parts are faster than one big part?) This is part 1 of 2.
