STONECREEK NEWS
Stonecreek Homeowner's Association, Gilbert, AZ 85234 Monthly Newsletter September 2002
United We (Still) Stand
DIRECTOR'S CORNER:
Enclosed in this issue of the Stonecreek Newsletter you will find an updated fine schedule. This fine schedule has been unanimously approved by the Board of Directors after receiving approval from Carpenter and Hazelwood, attorney's for the Stonecreek HOA. It is sincerely our hope that this new fine schedule will help to reduce the number of violations within Stonecreek HOA. This fine schedule will be used as a tool to cure violations along with the Town of Gilbert Code Compliance office and Neighborhood Services. If you notice a violation of the CC&R's, please contact Borg Property Services. Borg Property Services can let you know if the violation is in the process of being cured or if it has not been noted yet. Communication between homeowners and the property management company may help alleviate any misunderstandings that may occur in the curing of a violation.
As a reminder to homeowners, it is considered vandalism when chemicals are placed in the swimming pool by anyone other than an authorized vendor. The pool was closed at the end of July, due to human waste in the pool and then the attempt by a homeowner to clean up the waste. Chemicals were poured into the swimming pool, causing the chemical balance to be disrupted. It took one week of constant care to bring the chemicals into the correct balance. Anyone caught vandalizing the pool by dumping chemicals will be fined and the appropriate authorities contacted.
You will notice that we now have two very special groups that meet in Stonecreek HOA. One group is the Over 50 group. Another is the very successful playgroup for Mom's and Tot's. Specific information about the groups is mentioned on page 3 of the newsletter. If you would like to start a new group in Stonecreek HOA, please contact Borg Property Services for help with this idea.
We'll Miss You, SharonSHARON HOWES RESIGNS

After many years of quality service and dedication to the Stonecreek Community, it is with much sadness that we must inform you that Sharon Howes has resigned from the Architectural Control Committee.

We have been VERY fortunate to have Sharon as a member of this very important committee. "Thank you, Sharon, for a job well done!"

LANDSCAPE VIOLATIONS
Borg Property Services reported a total of 98 violations this month. Nancy reminds us to keep after the weeds.
We would like to bring to your attention the passing of Karl E. Knauer on August 24, 2002. He was a long time resident of Stonecreek and will be missed by many of us.
HAVE UNWANTED DUCKS?
Some Stonecreek homeowners have found ducks living and breeding in their back yard and pools. Once the ducklings "arrive", it is hard to get rid of them until the ducklings are old enough to fly. A call to the East Valley Wild Life (480-814-9339) will put you in contact with people who will lovingly remove the ducks and ducklings. It is a volunteer service, so there is no charge, but donations are appreciated.
