Why even deed restrictions?
The folks who break the deed restrictions aren't dealt with! My neighbor has a pool, a trampoline, leaves his trash can out 7 days a week and doesnt weed wack his fence line. He's been like this from day one and nothing is done about it. So petition away. Don't sign it when it comes around if you dont want something to be passed. Everyone has a situation that arises that makes them want something new or different, so I see nothing wrong with asking about having something changed.
