The Commons at Stones Throw

How Sad!!

Posted in: Salem Woods Maintenance Association
This development is nothing like it was just a few years ago. People (and I use the term loosely) throw garbage on the grass and sidewalks. And what is with garbage containers in front of the house by garage doors and near front doors rather than in the garage or at the back or side of the house? Isn't there a bylaw that prohibits that?

I would like to see a copy of the NCC bylaws sent to every new resident or to any house where it is obvious that the rules are not being followed.

Not sure where you live in the neighborhood but where I am it's pretty clean. Our street gets a lot of traffic due to the park & the only ''trash'' we seem to get is from kids going to & from the park & leaving their ''trash'' on the ground. Maybe parents with youngsters need to teach them right & wrong again & how to be respectful of others property & the neighborhood they live in while not with their parents. We constantly pick up cans, paper etc from the kids who do not care. Then again we have a ''public'' park in the middle of the development & there are rude people in the world who don't care when they enter Salem Woodst to use the park, so why not through garbage out the window.

Some Respect Please

Take a drive along Jaymar and even the short distance to the main (Salem Woods Drive) entrance and tell me that its clean. I saw a kid throwing a bottle on the grass (near the Newspaper stand) and even though I glared at him he just gave me a dirty look and walked off. I shouldn't have to pick up after this pig, but I did pick up the bottle and other trash on my way back in. It's just too risky to even say anything to anyone these days.
