Some residents have stated that there needs to be North/South STOP signs on North Chadwick at Charing Cross.

That is now possible and will be discussed at the December Commission meeting.

Question: What do you think about that idea?

I agree; but a stop sign or any other traffic regulation is only as good as the degree of enforcement.  We already have speed humps and one speed limit sign on North Chadwck Road that go unenforced........  

The police are still writing tickets on North Chadwick.

Maybe they are; maybe they aren't.  I haven't seen them doing it in over a year (I live on N.Chadwick) and they obviously are not doing it between 5:00 and 6:30 pm Monday through Friday or on weekends at all.  The street is a race track then.

Did the City Commission get the recent legal opinion about the speed limit signs?  I contacted Jon Ackerson over a month ago about the enforcement of speed limits and stop signs in Bellemeade because he stood on my front porch before he was elected and promised to do something to deal with our speeding problem after he got on the Metro Council.  Been awhile.
