A Forestry Board was created for the City of Strathmoor Manor which will be responsible for adopting standards for the planting, maintenance, and removal of trees in our neighborhood. Creating this board is a key first step in obtaining future forestry grants that will alleviate some of the financial burden of maintaining our beautifully treed landscape. The Forestry Board will be led by Mike Rueff, who is seeking 2 resident volunteers to assist with the board?’s efforts. This volunteer assignment will last two years and will require attendance at four Forestry Board meetings. If you have any expertise in horticulture, or if you just love the neighborhood?’s vibrant ?“urban forest?”, please contact Mike to volunteer.
