I could not agree more about parking in the streets of our subdivision, but I would also like to know why our streets have become playgrounds.  Even going below the speed limit of our neighborhood, you need to be very alert for people playing basketball, with backboards facing the street, some permently mounted that way, or ramps for bicycles.  You name it and it seems like the street is where you will find it.  What is wrong with using our backyards as playgrounds instead of our streets?
