Betty Eaton was inducted into the Chicago Senior Hall of Fame at a ceremony on May 21 organized by the Department on Aging and attended by Mayor Daley. Betty is a past-president of SOAR and currently chairs SOAR?’s Real Estate Committee. Her work on behalf of SOAR and Streeterville residents was most relevant to the judges. Betty continues a tradition of significant SOAR leadership recognized by city leaders. George Sikokis also is in the Senior Hall of Fame. George is a SOAR past-president and now chairs SOAR?’s Transportation Committee. Marj Abrams recently received a similar special tribute from the City Council. Marj edits the SOAR newsletter. All three are members of the board of directors. Congratulations to all!
