Dear Big Allan,

If the Park Place Congregational Church is deemed unsafe for meal distribution, other options exist.

First of all, in the past year, the city also considered letting the Christian Community Soup Kitchen use a city site on Dexter Street, near Barton Street, a former bar, to continue the kitchen.

Second of all, The worst scenario would be the Soup Kitchen moves from Park Place back to the Hispanic Evangelical Church on Dexter Street, near the Central Falls line.  The former Hospital Trust bank has no heat or room.

In closing, the city of Pawtucket has helped financed the daily Pawtucket Soup Kitchen at St. Joseph's Church on Walcott Street.  So far, this move has been a success for all involved.
