PTA Working to Make an Impact

The PTA at Monroe works to raise money to fund school activities and make improvements. There are many ways that you can help us make a difference.

Individuals can join the PTA by paying the $5.00 membership fee. Anyone can join as membership is not limited to teachers and parents.

Businesses can become "Partners in Education" by donating cash, goods, or services valued at $50 or more. In return, "Partners in Education" will be recognized in all PTA Redbird Reader monthly publications which goes home with all 450+ students.

Ways You Can Help

Adopt Monroe: The school always needs assistance with copy supplies and paper. Please contact the school at 942-4479 if you or your business would like to adopt our school to meet this need.

Keep Monroe in mind as you do your shopping. Monroe receives 1% of all Mayfair Market receipts we collect.

We also receive money for General Mills Box Tops, Tyson A+ labels, and Best Choice labels. Ziploc has added Box Tops to their products this year so watch for them.

In addition, Campbell offers fitness equipment for the labels we collect from their products.

Please collect these items and bring them to the school or to the neighborhood association meetings. Of course, the neighborhood children would be happy to deliver for you, especially since the PTA hosts monthly classroom competitions for the Box Tops. Mayfair Market also sponsors monthly competitions for their receipts.

Monroe has also partnered with a community thrift store. You may donate useable household items at the school. There is a white drop box in front of the school and larger items are collected inside the school.

And..... Don't forget that the school also hosts a paper recycling bin in front if the school. See the 'Keep Recycling Newspapers!' link below.
