Summer Wood Home Owners Association

I am new to the RS and this site.  I love this site and think it is a create way for poeple to learn about our Area, however everything I see is old.  I do not see any updates to the Chase Report.  Most of the post in hear a old.  Which causes me to ask,

Is the HOA acitve any more?  when do they having their meetings?  Does any one other than myself use this website?

I have sent e-mails to the hotmail account and have yet to receive any replies.  I am just wondering if I should invest any more time into this site.

Recently, they had scheduled a neighborhood picnic.  They sent no fliers and never put anything on a website.  [This is the only site that shows up on Google & Yahoo searches.]  Apparently prescient abilities are less common in RC than they thought.

The neighborhood picnic was cancelled . . . again.

I did after 4 weeks receive a reply from the HOA.  They told me that they are still active.  the reply went on to say that the website was updated as of January, but that there has not been any new information since then.   They also stated that they are working on having a Chase Report done for August.

Now just to state the obvious.  Taking 4 weeks to reply to a HOTLINE e-mail is not good.  We are at the end of July and there has been nothing new to put on the website.  How about a monthly Chase Report or maybe information about HOA meetings or things they are working on.

I know I am new to RC, but when looking at the other communities websites and their activity, I have to question the validity of "yes we are active"

I too have wondered if the HOA was even still active and if they are they need to address this forum and alot of issues in the neighborhood. When they have their next meeting I will run for office cause there is alot of HOA dues being paid and not much to show for it.
