Some homes are approaching the end of their 10 year foundation warranty. I know there have been some problems with sinking porches in the neighborhood. If your porch has settled, you may want to contact Centex Homes and check if it may be a warranty issue.

We received a letter from Centex informing us of the problem and our warranty running out.  We submitted pictures and someone came out to check the condition of our porch.  Centex's reply was that our porch had not sunk badly enough AND since we were not the first homeowner the warranty did not apply to us.  The porch continued to fall cracking the bricks and pulling the porch roof from the front of the home.

We have since had the porch replaced at our own expense as our insurance didn't cover this either. Undecided
