Noisy Neighbors.

Posted in: 8665 Florin Road

Is this the right forum for me? I own the house on 8668 Tiogawoods Drive, Sacramento, CA 95828.

I feel your pain. I live in South Sacramento;
Florin to be exact. It is a working class neighborhood and relatively quiet,
with the exception of my neighbors, lucky me. I bought the house in 2008 and
have been miserable ever since the young adult children of my next door
neighbor moved back in. First of all, it's a 3 bedroom home; the same as mine.
But, they have at least 8 people living there; five of which have cars. I have
never had a clear view from my window to across the street. And let's not talk
about the many people that visit and also park in front of my house, using my
driveway as a short cut for not making a three point turn. I've even had my
driveway blocked. Here's a laundry list of everything I've gone through in the
3.5 years living here: Trespassers; people walking on my lawn; stolen trash
cans; stolen newspapers; barking dogs (they had 15 when I first moved in); a
shared fence they refuse to repair or help pay for a new one; kids hanging out
on my driveway to skateboard; a stolen pool sweep; loud music, drinking and
drug abuse, almost daily; leaves dumped at the end of my driveway; dog feces
and one time human feces on my property; their cat uses my bushes to handle his
business; beer caps, cigarette butts and blunt wrappers on my lawn; no privacy
(they hang out outside almost all day long). I've complained to the father
about the loud noise and he told me to wear ear plugs. The mother won't even
talk to me because apparently, I am not allowed to complain about her 15 dogs,
now down to 4...I think. I've been awaken in the middle of the night by someone
standing outside my living room window. I was forced to get a watch dog and
surveillance equipment because I don't feel safe in my own home. Calling the
police about the loud noise is a joke. As soon as the police leave they turn it
back on. I've had to endure listening to loud music and the loud noise of their
tweaking voices until 2 in the morning on a work day. Oh, did I mention, none
of them work? So, yes the partying begins at approximately 11:00 AM, when they
wake up and doesn't end until I call the police. They are not renters and have
been around for at least 12 years. What I'm most surprised about is that no one
else calls the police. We need to group together and start doing neighborhood
crime watch patrols or at a minimum, call the police. Any other ideas of what else I can do?
