BULLET POINTS

* The community association sent several memorial flower arrangements to families in the community who suffered the loss of loved ones. Our thoughts are with them.

* No thanks to the Yahoos who pelted our entrance sign with orange paint balls. BUT... if anyone wants to put up little wreaths on the signs like last year…they looked great.

* No "Hurricane Heroes" stepped forward…just like a hero…too modest.

* Looking for someone interested in updating the community directory. No formal re-issuance is planned but a stapled copy that is up to date would be nice.

NEXT MEETING
The next community association meeting will be on Monday, January 5th at 7:30 PM at the home of Lee and Chuck Valle, 40 Clubview. A wildlife management specialist will be there to talk about managing the deer population in residential communitees. Hope to see you there.

COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION WEBSITE
Community association VP, Ted Walker, has gone the extra mile and established a website for our community. We are part of a free web hosting service for community associations so check it out and let us know what you think.
The site is neighborhoodlink.com/phoenixmd/sunnybrookca

HELPFUL HINTS
Do you like to write? Are you full of helpful, creative ideas that you think would be of interest to your neighbors? We'd like to start a short column in each SCAN submitted by YOU!
In our community there are talented gardeners, chefs, golfers and artists. Many of your neighbors have a wealth of knowledge about flowers, fishing, grilling and just plain great ways to goof off. If YOU have a helpful hint, a great recipe, or other idea to pass on, please send it to the editors (or email hubbert@comcast.net) and we'll let everyone know.
If you're shy, let us know that too and we won't include your name. C'mon … let's hear from YOU!

DUES PAID LIST
As promised, we are publishing the list of families that have paid their dues and are current for the year through August 2004. This is the Community Association's way of saying THANKS to
each of you that continue to help make our neighborhood a safe, attractive and friendly place to live. If you have a question about your dues status, please contact VP. Ted Walker. Thanks again!

HALLOWEEN PARTY WRAP-UP
Boo-Boo-Boo. Halloween seems like a long time ago now that Thanksgiving is already behind us.
But a lot of the party supplies are still on my garage floor waiting to be swapped out for the Christmas decorations still in the attic. For the third year, the Hubberts hosted the community kids Halloween party. The weather was great and 30+ little ghosts, spiders, knights and princesses played games, enjoyed snacks and braved the "haunted trail". Everyone seemed to have a good time so thanks to all who attended and especially to those that helped out.

SANTA IS COMING
Ho-Ho-Ho. That jolly old elf and Mrs. Claus will be paying a visit to our community again this year. His reindeer (vacationing in the Bahamas) called to say St. Nick will arrive by fire truck around 2:00 on Sunday Dec. 14. As is his custom, he will cruise the community then stop at Valley Green
Court, pull up a chair and chat with the kids. He will have candy treats for the little ones and as in the past, the community association will make a donation to the Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Dept,a very worthy cause. Don’t forget your camera!

HOLIDAY GATHERING
The holidays are a busy time but we wanted to capitalize on the momentum started by the Lowry's last year. This year Janet and Ted Walker have offered to open their home for an informal
gathering on Saturday Dec. 20. from 7:00 until ? Everyone is welcome to come and stay for awhile or just drop in for a minute. The event is pot-luck style so bring a little something and an RSVP is appreciated. A flyer will be out soon with more details!

GOODBYE
So long to Tom and Sue Kiern and their family. They will be relocating and moving out of state late in December. We wish them the best of luck.

SCAN COMMUNITY QUESTIONNAIRE
At a recent association meeting it was suggested that a way to get others more people involved in the community might be to send out a questionnaire. We want to know what you think would make our community friendlier, safer, better. Please take a few minutes to fill out the attached form and drop it in the mail or at the Hubbert's house (14 Glenbrook). We know this is already a great neighborhood but perhaps there is something more we can do…we look forward to hearing from you.

Happy Holidays and a Safe, Happy New Year
