It's not only a city ordinance that sidewalks be kept clear of all obstructions (e.g. encroaching shrubs, tree limbs, etc.) and be cleared of snow within 24 hours after snow stops; but you, the homeowner, may be liable if someone slips and is injured due to your negligence. Kids walking to school, joggers, and walkers are good examples of those at risk. There are several spots at this time where tree branches or shrubs are definitely impeding a clear sidewalk.
