We rented unit D9 in the Sun Skipper from October 10 - 17, 2015. On the evening of October 16th, I picked up my husband at the Fayetteville Airport as he was completing a military mission in Honduras. We arrived back at our unit at approximately 11:30 p.m. and woke up to watch the sunrise at 6:00 a.m. and realized our vehicle was missing. We thought it was stolen as we had been parked there all week long and no other vehicles, except a maroon truck was parked there. All back lots were empty the entire week. After speaking with the police, we were told that Rosak's towed our vehicle. This place towed our vehicle while we were legally parking at a condo unit we had been in all week that we rented at the beach. We were parked in a back lot, with no other vehicles around us as many lots were EMPTY. The last night, this company towed our vehicle claiming our pass was not shown. 3 of us confirmed it was showing. It had been hanging there all week long. If, for some reason, the pass was taken down, they should not have towed us from a lot we had been legally parked in all week long. They could have checked with the association on the plate number. My husband arrived late in the evening at Fayetteville airport after completing a mission in Honduras for the military, thus, we did not get back to the unit until after 11:30 p.m. We woke up to watch the sunrise at 6:00 a.m. and the vehicle was gone. We feel this is a predatory tow company. They demanded $150 CASH to give our vehicle back. My husband was so exhausted from his trip that we just paid them. We also had to pay $20 to get a ride there. The police would do nothing for us. We feel our truck was stolen and we had to pay to get it back. I don't care what these people say, this type of business should be ashamed for the way they treat people. I could see if we were parked illegally or in a handicap lot or a parking meter over the limit, but we were legally parked at a place we paid significant money to rent from. We were also parked in the back of the building, away from the street view. How on earth did they even think to look there? Sorry, can't help but think these thieves work together with others to steal vehicles and make money. Shame on them for taking money from a soldier returning home from fighting for our country. They were rude, very unfriendly and condescending. We would like the HOA to speak to this company regarding this situation. We had our pass hanging there all week long, however, they stated they took pictures of no pass in the vehicle. Keep in mind that a tow company can easily get into a vehicle and take down a pass. There is signficiant damage on the chrome portion of the vehicle near the door handle. This is a brand new jeep grand cherokee which had absolutely no damage to it. My husband is extremely upset over this situation. The man from Rosaks stated that a building moderator told him we were there with no pass, but we were parked there all week so we do not believe him. A very nice woman who moved in gave us a ride to the tow company. This situation ruined our vacation. $170 CASH for something we were not doing illegally is extreme. I can be reached at 910-644-4477 to discuss this situation. Thank you. Debbie
