  • Respect-O-Meter: Valued Neighbor
June 26, 2007 - It has become increasingly obvious that we need to become more aggressive in our efforts to thwart crime in our neighborhood. There have been more and more car break-ins every month this year. Living at ?“China Walls?” and walking Fran Gabrielle?’s dogs at ?“Spitting Cave?”, I personally know of 6 car break-ins in the past 30 days. On top of that there have been, 3 house break-ins since the beginning of the year here on Hanapepe Loop, my house being one of them.

I have seen on the news twice in the last week, Police handing out T-Shirts in EWA, that say something like ?“Citizen Patrol?”. Their neighborhood is being plagued with crime and the community is fed up and ready to mobilize against the thieves and other criminals. I don?’t want to wait any longer so I am going to organize a ?“Crime Fighting Task Force?” to make recommendations to the board to establish a more aggressive ?‘crime fighting unit?’.

Any questions and suggestions with regard to this effort will be welcome. Please feel free to email me at: edgarminer@msn.com or call me at (808) 372-8599.
