This Saturday, the Cherry Street Farmers' Market returns for its 11th year.
The Market operates every Saturday morning (7 - 11a.m.) through October 4th., in the parking lot of Lincoln Plaza, 15th & Peoria.
Opening day activities include:
>> OSU Master Gardeners Teresa Herndon and Jim Henshaw will dispense horticultural information;
>> Acoustic music on the Gray Snail Saloon patio; this week Cairde na Gael - Traditional Irish Band.

Tom?¿½s Bicycles opened their second location on Cherry Street, earlier this month.
Located at 1506 East 15th. Street, the bicycle shop is situated on the same block with the Coffeehouse on Cherry Street, Deco to Disco and Gerek Fine Arts Gallery.
Tom and his wife Sylvia are Swan Lake homeowners.
Tulsans Matt and Brooke Kelley have opened Lucky?¿½s, in the former site of Camarelli?¿½s, at 1536 East 15th Street.
They were the former owners of the Atlas Grill, in the downtown Atlas Building.
The restaurant features American cuisine with a hint of the Southwest.

Also in the Tulsa World earlier this summer, plans for pedestrian-friendly crosswalks along Cherry Street.
City of Tulsa Public Works traffic operations manager, Mark Brown, was quoted as saying that the city plans to paint crosswalks across seven sites on Cherry Street.
The project is expected to be completed at the end of August.

Robert's Antiques & Fine Furnishings moved out of Cherry Street this summer.
They are reopened further southeast in the city.
Taking its place will be two businesses - Brandon Michael Photography and Modo, a fashion shop.
Within that same building, Sterling & Company hair salon is giving up some space.
According to a Sterling spokesman, it was difficult to keep a full-time masseuse on the premises.
The Cherry Street Farmers' Market is active Saturday mornings, from 7 until 11a.m., on the northeast corner of Lincoln Plaza.
Customers are encouraged to bring along plastic shopping bags as part of a recycling program.
The bags can be dropped off at the market managers booth.
