The headline "If You Don't Report It, It Didn't Happen" pretty much summed up our second annual meeting of the year.

The topic: Crime.
Guest speaker Representative Lucky Lamons and neighborhood resident City Councilman Tom Baker addressed the nearly three dozen people attending the meeting.

Swan Lake neighbors wanted to know what can be done about recent burglaries, vandalisms and other crimes that have occured within our area.

Baker was one of the victims of a tire-slashing spree that reportedly left more than 20 vehciles in need of new tires.
He told the group that when he called and talked with a police officer to report the crime and ask about the other victims, the officer said that his was the first report made on the incident.

Lamons, a former Tulsa Police officer, said that it's not uncommon for people to not report a crime.
From his experience, as far as the police are concerned, "If you don't report it, it didn't happen".

Both Lamons and Baker stressed and urged neighbors to file a report, no matter how trivial.
They said that police need to know what is going on before they can act on it.
