Positions are for a two (2) year term. Individuals applying for these positions must be available to attend three(3) out of four(4) General and Board meetings.
Article 6 (Section 1) of our By-Laws denotes that the Election of Officers and Directors are as follows: The election of officers and directors shall be held at the annual meeting each February. Voting shall be limited to current members whose dues have been paid prior to the meeting.
Article 7 (Section 1-5) of our By-Laws denotes that the duties of the Officers are as follows:
PRESIDENT: The president shall preside at all meetings of the Association and serve as the official rep. of the Assoc. to any outside organizations or agencies. They have the authority to create special or standing committees and appoint chair persons, except the Nominating Committee. They also co-sign w/ the Treasurer any contract or obligation as authorized by the active members.
VICE PRESIDENT: Perform the duties of the President when they are absent and assume the office of President for remaining term should that office become vacant. They will also assist the President and/or Board of Directors upon request.
SECRETARY: Keep minutes of all assoc. and Board meetings. Maintain a current list of all members. Safely keep all Assoc. documents and have a reference copy of the By-Laws at all Assoc. and Board meetings. Oversee the proper distribution for all meetings and assist the President in the preparation of agendas for all meetings.
TREASURER: Collect and receive all monies/dues belonging to the Assoc. and promptly deposit. Pay all recurring/routine bills of the Assoc. as authorized by the Board. Give quarterly Treasury report at the regular meetings and maintain the financial records of the Association.
