Crime Watch - - Stolen Bicycles

Stolen Bicycles - Non Emergency Police - 231-6130

To all our Neighbors:
I received this email and I wanted to follow up with you regarding the bike
situation.
It is very important to report the loss of your bike to the non-emergency
number (231-6130) and it is not too late to still call this in. It will take
5 minutes.
If you have your name engraved on the bike or any identifier for this bike
be sure to report that, like serial number. I spoke to TPD at length about
this and they said that the reports are very important and they will send
alerts to Pawn shops as well as increase the patrolling in our area. It is
obvious that our neighborhood has been the target and we will stop it. Keep
in mind we can't stop people from stealing but we can hopefully stop them
from coming into our neighborhood by alerting the TPD of our situation.

I can't help to prevent crime in our neighborhood if I don't know about it.
On a side note, one of the bikes stolen (mentioned in a previous
email)
has been recovered at a Pawn Shop yesterday and it was stolen back in June,
so with the help of the TPD and this person contacting the local pawn shops
a criminal investigation has begun.

Please encourage your neighbors to report any suspicious activity to the
non-emergency number or to me because the patrolling officers will stop
people that may be casing our neighborhood and ask for ID and ask why they
are there if they don't belong.
Thank you in advance for your help to continue to keep our neighborhood
safe.
