UCR Botanic Gardens

If you are looking for a fun and educational activity that will keep you engaged for 1-5 hours but that won't cost much, try the UC Riverside Botanic Gardens. The Gardens have over 3,500 plants that range from natives of California's desert regeions to exotic plants and trees from Australia.

The cost is a suggested $1 donation (there is also a small parking fee).

Library - First Sunday's

Don?’t know what to do with the kids?
The Riverside libraries have everything from make-it-and-take-it crafts to encounters with exotic creatures, music programs to movie nights. And it's all free.


The Main Library Plaza in downtown Riverside also offers special themed events for kids on the first sunday of every month from 1-4 PM.
